WHY PLAY VELOCITY CLUB VOLLEYBALL….Because it’s AWESOME! and because we are NOT a traditional Butte travel volleyball team. We are a volleyball club with a fundamental skill system in place based on development of volleyball skills. Not all travel clubs are the same! We pride ourselves in EXPERIENCE in coaching and volleyball training. We pay our skilled knowledgeable coaches because they are few and far between.

• To improve skill sets and game experience (we compete in 6-8 tournaments a season, that’s at least 30 matches!) A regular high school season is 18 matches

• Gain exposure to college coaches and programs, a lot of college coaches recruit club kids as they can't attend high school matches.

• Play competitively and at a higher level

• Receive strong coaching from newly experienced and specifically volleyball trained coaches

Play on a National Team

• We compete in bigger tournaments outside of Montana, Spokane, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Las Vegas

• Dates for 2026: 18's traveling to Phoenix, AZ to compete at Festival. If you win a Regional Championship Gold Bracket you earn free entry at Festival in Phoenix. We have MT AAU State Championships in Helena April 25/26 and Volleyfest in Billings May 2/3 to qualify for free entry. You must win a gold bracket at either of these tournaments. A lot of times, teams that win don't always want to travel to Phoenix or Orlando, so free entry fee can be passed to 2nd, 3rd etc. For us to send a team to Nationals in Phoenix we evaluate their season, if they are consistently making it into Gold and performing well in Montana we feel going to Nationals is beneficial. If they are struggling to do this, we don't want to have parents spend the money to travel that far with hotels, airfare etc. So regardless, we like to make the best decision for the kids and their families. Anyone can sign up to attend AAU Nationals, you DO NOT have to win, the only difference is entry fee is waived.
